Position:PhD Student in Electrical Engineering. Federal University of Espirito Santo - UFES (Brazil)
Bio:Received the B.S. degree in electronic engineering from Universidad Politecnica Salesiana, Ecuador, in 2008 and the M.Sc. degree in electronic engineering in 2011 from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Colombia. She is currently working toward her Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering in the Assistive Technology Group at Universidade Federal do Espirito Santo, Brazil. Her current research is about the control of a knee exoskeleton with motion intention recognition through sEMG to assist walking in individuals with paraplegia. Her other research interests include biomechanics of gait, development of active orthosis and lower limb rehabilitation.
