Dr Eukene Imatz Ojanguren obtained her PhD, consisting in the application of intelligent computing techniques to upper limb neuroprostheses, in the Rehabilitation Area of TECNALIA and the Automatics Department of the University of the Basque Country (EHU/UPV) in 2016.

Since October 2012 she has been working in the Health Division of TECNALIA, working on projects related to upper-limb and lower-limb neuroprostheses and applications of intelligent computing techniques to medical/rehabilitation technologies. She has published papers in peer-reviewed journals and she has contributed to several international and national conferences.

She is also the co-author of the WO2020099207A1 “DEVICE AND SYSTEM FOR FUNCTIONAL ELECTRICAL STIMULATION” patent and she is a member of the International Functional Electrical Stimulation Society (IFESS) since 2013.
