Bio: She obtained a degree in Forest Engineering and a Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching Training in the University of Valladolid. She started her professional career as forest engineer consultant in the Regional Ministry of Environment in Valladolid and Palencia, while she studied a Master’s Degree in Forest Engineering in the same university. Three years later she moved to Madrid where she worked as a Forest Engineer Consultant in the National Parks Service Agency Headquarters. One year later she obtained a post as civil servant officer in the same agency. She worked in the Public Use Department for four years. Meanwhile, she studied a Master’s Degree in Protected Areas and finished her Master’s Degree in Forest Engineering with Honors. Her final project was awarded by the Forest Engineer Association of Castilla y León. Then, she decided it was time for a change of scenery and moved to Lanzarote as Director of La Graciosa Island. Three years later she was posted to the Mission of Spain to the UN in New York as Environment Adviser. She is now back in the National Parks Agency Headquarters. After running interpretation projects for the National Parks Visitor Centers for two years, she is implementing the Communication and Broadcasting Program for the national and international projection of the National Parks Network.
