Mª Nava Castro Domínguez

Director of Tourism in Galicia

Licensed in Hispanic Philology at Universidad Complutense, Madrid and holder of numerous MA: Destinations Planning and Management and New Touristic Products (UDC), Emigration and Return (Universidade de Vigo), Agents of Economic Development and Programmes Management (Universidade de Vigo), SMEs´ Direction and Management (Universidade de Vigo), and Intervention and Management of Social Services (Universidade da Coruña – Spanish Social Studies Foundation). In 1998 she served as deputy in the Parliament of Galicia. Since then, until 2000 she was responsible of the European Centre of Information and Animation. From 1999 to 2000 and from 2003 to 2007, she was Councillor for Social Services at Ponteareas´ City Hall (Pontevedra), elected Mayor of this town from 2000 to 2003. Later she served as Deputy Mayor and assumed the Treasury and Economy Council. She has also been responsible of European Rural Information and Animation Centre and between 2008 and 2009 she was deputy at the Spanish Congress of Deputies. Until 2012 she was General Director of Commerce and in 2013 she was apointee to be Director of Tourism in Galicia.
